In this heartfelt episode of Echoes of Home, hosts Kelly and Erin are joined by their dear friend Jade to explore the often unspoken emotional landscape of motherhood. Together, they reflect on the delicate dance between control and surrender, structure and spaciousness, protection and autonomy.
Through candid conversation, they examine how childhood narratives shape our parenting, and how reprogramming those patterns requires vulnerability, presence, and compassionate self-inquiry. Erin shares her journey of learning to release the illusion of control, embracing emotional regulation as a pathway to connection, and prioritizing self-care in the midst of her child’s big emotional waves.
The trio speaks openly about the tension between societal expectations and the intuitive rhythms of motherhood, and how parenting can become a spiritual practice—one that teaches detachment, accountability, and the sacred art of showing up with softness.
This episode is an offering for anyone navigating the layered journey of motherhood, selfhood, and soul.

Overview:
In this follow-up to our origin story, we each open up about the tangible practices and deep experiences that have shifted the way we live, relate, and heal. These aren’t tips or how-to’s—they’re personal integrations: the things we’ve tried, tested, resisted, and returned to.

We talk about the tools that have helped us soften back into our bodies, move through stuckness, rebuild our nervous systems, and stay connected to something wiser than our fear. These tools didn’t “fix” us, but they’ve helped us feel more at home in ourselves—and that’s what this podcast is all about.

Note: Like Episode 1, this was recorded later in the season as we were experimenting with different recording setups and formats. Season 1 is intentionally raw and nonlinear—a container for exploration more than polish. Season 2 will feel more refined, but we love the realness this season holds.

In this episode, we explore:

The somatic practices and therapies that taught us how to come back into our bodies
How we each relate to control, surrender, and integration
Why some tools take time to work—and how we know when we’re ready to receive them
What it feels like to stop abandoning yourself when things get hard

Overview:
In this intimate, story-rich kickoff to Echoes of Home, we open the door to our friendship, our histories, and the unexpected ways our lives began to mirror each other. We share how we met, what we saw in one another, and how the threads of motherhood, grief, spiritual awakening, and embodiment brought us into creative alignment.

This episode isn’t just about a beginning—it’s about a shared remembering of who we are and why we’re here now, building something rooted in honesty, warmth, and presence.

Note: We recorded Episodes 1 and 2 several months after most of Season 1—so you might notice some shifts in energy, audio, or vibe. In true startup spirit, we also had a minor tech glitch in this one (thanks, mic interference). Season 1 has been our sandbox—a space to try different setups, speak freely, and learn by doing. The episodes weren’t recorded in order, and we’re okay with that. It’s casual, imperfect, and real. Season 2? A little more honed in.

In this episode, we reflect on:

Who we were before we met—and what was quietly shifting
The (real) story of how we met and what instantly clicked
The shared threads that stitched us together: motherhood, loss, spiritual curiosity, and self-inquiry
Why this podcast emerged now—and what we hope it can hold
Our invitation to you: we’re not here as experts, but as women walking beside you in real time
